If you or anyone you know may be dealing with pancreatic cancer read or pass this on. The following is an excerpt from a research article provided by ‘BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine’ titled : Frankincense natural essential oil prepared from hydrodistillation of Boswellia sacra gum resins induces human pancreatic cancer cell death in cultures and in a xenograft murine model by Xiao Ni, Mahmoud M Suhail, Qing Yang, Amy Cao, Kar-Ming Fung, Russell G Postier, Cole Woolley, Gary Young, Jingzhe Zhang and Hsueh-Kung Lin. Regardless of the availability of therapeutic options, the overall 5-year survival for patients diagnosed with pancreatic cancer remains less than 5%. Gum resins from Boswellia species, also known as frankincense, have been used as a major ingredient in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine to treat a variety of health-related conditions. Both frankincense chemical extracts and natural essential oil prepared from Boswellia species gum resins exhibit anti-neoplastic activity, and have been investigated as potential anti-cancer agents. The goals of this study are to identify optimal condition for preparing frankincense natural essential oil that possesses potent anti-tumor activity, and to evaluate the activity in both cultured human pancreatic cancer cells and a xenograft mouse cancer model.
All fractions of frankincense natural essential oil from Boswellia sacra are capable of suppressing viability and inducing apoptosis of a panel of human pancreatic cancer cell lines. Potency of natural essential oil-suppressed tumor cell viability may be associated with the greater abundance of high molecular weight compounds in Fractions III and IV. Although chemical component(s) responsible for tumor cell cytotoxicity remains undefined, crude essential oil prepared from hydrodistillation of Boswellia sacra gum resins might be a useful alternative therapeutic agent for treating patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma, an aggressive cancer with poor prognosis.
No wonder that Frankincense is a gift more precious than gold as it may give the gift of life for some. Checkout the following video from Young Living Essential Oils on their 2 types of Frankincense they offer.

Historical Data: Also known as “olibanum,” the name frankincense is derived from the Medieval French word for “real incense.” Frankincense is considered the “holy anointing oil” in the Middle East and has been used in religious ceremonies for thousands of years. It was well known during the time of Christ for its anointing and healing powers and was one of the gifts given to Christ at His birth. “Used to treat every conceivable ill known to man,” frankincense was valued more than gold during ancient times, and only those with great wealth and abundance possessed it. it is mentioned in one of the oldest known medical records, Ebers Papyrus (dating from 16th century B.C.), an ancient Egyptian list of 877 prescriptions and recipes.
USES: Depression, cancer, respiratory infections, inflammation, immune-stimulating
Fragrant influence: increases spiritual awareness, promotes meditation, improves attitude, and uplifts spirits.
Frankincense contains sesquiterpenes, which stimulate the limbic system of the brain (the centre of memory and emotions) and the hypothalamus, pineal, and pituitary glands. The hypothalamus is the master gland of the human body, producing many vital hormones including thyroid and growth hormone.
Historical Data: Young Living’s sacred frankincense oil is the first Omani frankincense to be available to those outside of Saudi royals or the privileged of Oman. It is regarded the world over as the rarest, most sought-after aromatic in existence.
After 15 years of research, 15 trips to Oman, and numerous meetings and negotiations with Omani officials, Gary Young was granted the first export permit in the history of Oman for the release and export of the oil and permission to build a Young Living distillery in the century and to export the resulting essential oil out of Oman.
Medical Benefits: Frankincense has been tested as an anticancer agent for its ability to turn off the DNA of cancer cells and return the DNA to a healthy state. Frankincense oil has also been documented to regenerate disc, cartilage, and bone. Therapeutic-grade frankincense oil contains boswellic acids, which are potent anti-inflammatory agents against rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis.
